Featured Musical Selections
Handel — Concerto Grosso, HWV 312
Second Movement
Orchestral realization and production
This recording was produced using a virtual Baroque ensemble assembled from multiple professional instrument libraries, including Vienna Symphonic Library period instruments, Native Instruments' Cremona Quartet, and selected Toontrack keyboards. Instrument selection, articulation, phrasing, dynamics, and ensemble balance were shaped to create a cohesive musical interpretation.
It Is Well With My Soul — Contemporary Funk Arrangement
Arranger, music producer, soundtrack producer, and electric bassist. A contemporary funk interpretation of the traditional hymn featuring Kristi Bingham, vocals. John Charlillo produced the virtual instrumental ensemble and played electric bass. The arrangement demonstrates cross-genre arranging, live and virtual instrument integration, vocal production, and contemporary recording techniques.
Jongleur fur Klavier und Ton Transformationen
Movement Eight, Lebhaftig Bewegt
Movement Nine, Leichte Maessigkeit
Movement Ten, Leichte Nachdenklichkeit
This is a ten-movement piece for piano and computer-generated tone transformations. Most of the tone transformations come from a sample library of an old piano being disassembled and demolished. In contrast, the live piano is left to contemplate its own eventual demise.
Pitch, rhythm, and dynamics were derived from the Juggler Number Sequence, then arranged in matrices to organize and permute the information. Most importantly, the composer carefully chose and placed the resulting musical fragments according to their musical sensibilities.
